This season flew by weirdly quickly. Even with us being doodoo this year it was never really a drag at anytime. Its feels like it was just yesterday when we watched the WS banner drop.
Anyway deGrom going 9ip with 27Ks
Sigh, baseball’s coming to a close. So much to look forward to in 2025. Excited to see what we are able to do in the offseason with the new network coming into play.
even with a rough season, there were some good moments.
I hope this new RSN route the Rangers are allegedly pursing is true. It would be nice to have a more affordable way to watch the Rangers.
Plus, maybe this can lead to more revenue for the org. Bally not being able to pay its full amount sucked for a team that just came off a WS championship and found itself with empty pockets for free agent signings in the offseason.
With the same core in effect for next year I hope they’re able to spend however much they need on relievers, starters, and, god willing, a much needed DH.
Oh yeah one more comment
Langford has straight up *demolished* the month of September: .310/.400/.598/.998 and wRC+ of 182
He has 6 HRs and 6 SB this month, joining Ohtani and Julio Rodriguez as the only players with 6+ HR/6+ SB in September.
He’s definitely gonna win his second Rookie of the Month Award. He’s also been our most clutch player this season with a wRC+ of 221 in high leverage scenarios according to Fangraphs.
He’s struggled this season no doubt. I imagine the FO was really banking on a ROTY performance from him.
But, I think we’re really looking at the next big star in baseball.
