[Kuty] Aaron Judge called a players-only meeting near the beginning of September in Texas. The Captain’s message: Ignore the outside noise. The Yankees then went on a roll, separating themselves from the O’s and winning the AL East.

  1. Why did he wait until September damnit. If he just had this meeting in March they could have won 150 games

  2. Did people like to deify players meetings as these epic defining moments before it was portrayed that way in movies?

  3. At the time they had lost 3 series in a row. They then won their next 5 series. When Judge speaks he inspires his teammates. LFG!

  4. For what it’s worth, I went to one of the games here in Texas during that series. I had a talk with Judge beforehand and told him to rally the troops.

    You’re welcome.

  5. Now that we get a scoop from inside the club house, we can talk about it. I’m tired of people making assumptions when they’re on the outside looking in. Good stuff Cap.

  6. The Yankees are 13-6 since the Texas series and only lost 1 series since (this last series against the O’s). IWYW

  7. Yeah, how dare the fans boo and expect more than mediocrity against the worst teams in the League.

    “Outside noise”

    LOL
