  1. I hate that Hutson was on the second PP unit
Mike Matheson wasnt a top pp guy before MTL time for him to come back down to earth.
I totally get having Dach on pp1.
It makes more sense because he’s still developing and still hasn’t reached his full potential.

Deangelo is going to be great for Demidov also

  2. Great podcast as always Josh & Jesse. Demidov driving towards the net to score was impressive, shows he is not a perimeter player. He has made the transition from the MHL to KHL seamlessly so will hopefully do same at NHL level.

Pleased to see for now Laine and Hutson on the 2nd PP unit. They need time to assimilate with the team so important they are integrated slowly. When the regular season starts things will obviously change so until then it is important to get their reps.

  3. Dach & Matheson should be PP2

Dach, Matheson, Roy all feeding Laine’s one timer, Newhook as bumper

PP1 Hutson at point, Gallagher fucking the goalies, Slaf one timer on right wall, Suzuki doing the Draisaitl on Left goal line, Caufield one timer on left wall, Hutson cycling.

Keep the 5v5 trios together on PP

With Roy PP2 and Gally PP1 as the extra FWD’s

Andy, DVo, Armia, Evans all PK

  4. The bottom 6 can still use some work, if we could pick up a 50 goal veteran, the rebuild would pretty much be done, especially if Dobes is going to be playing like he has!! Also a veteran D wouldnt hurt. With these lines, we could have five 20 goal scorers, maybe more! That's crazy, it's probably been a couple decades since last time we had 5 twenty goal scorers. Things are lookin up!!

  5. Ahhh no wonder Laine looked so stingy in today's interview. He was bummed that he was moved down. But why did he had to pout about it during an interview

  6. First thing I thought when I seen the pp lines.
Smart move by MSL. When the first unit proves not to work, he can "try" switching laine and hutson to the top unit.
    Avoids hurting mathesons confidence

  7. If you ever do an answer and question. Is there something against the rules about throwing Gally, Anderson, Dvorak and Evans on waivers. Who cares if we gain cap space if someone is claimed for nothing. Playing Beck and company? 1 year of let's not worry about anything but NHL development for the future Cup Winners!

  8. Unfortunately Roy and Kapanen didn't show anything last game…I think Roy starts on 3rd…Kapanen will probably be in 2 more preseason games… he's gotta show more or he's off to SHL.
