  1. But if I had to hear announcers say “he’s such a patient runner” 20 fucking times a game I’d want to hang myself

  2. I bet coaches hated his style . Not hitting the hole full speed. But damm was it art watching him wait for the hole to blow up. Miss the guy.

  3. He actually would watch the blocks unfold and pick the correct route, instead of running a predetermined route and hoping the blocks hold.

Is that because the pace of the game increased a lot or because he was that able?

  4. He was so in sync with our o line. He tried that shit elsewhere and it didn’t pan out. He was a treasure. But saw gurlys contract and thought rb deserve that pay. Nope.

  5. His hesitant running style is so unique and that is fun when he wait & see the running lane and get into that very fast.

  6. Not to take anything away from Bell, but it’s also 60 seconds of watching DeCastro and Pouncey stand up everyone in his path.

  7. His running style only worked because he was behind that line

He was a fool to think he could go elsewhere and just to do the same thing

  8. It was a perfect combination. A patient runner that is going to hit any hole opened up by an oline, and an oline that was so good there would always be a gap, even if it took an extra second.

I knew his career was over as soon as he left Pittsburgh bc you cant stand in the backfield for 2 seconds with most olines, they dont give you the time to wait

  9. Amazing blocking.

I don’t think he’s nearly as successful as he was without that line. Not taking anything away from his talent, but part of what made him great was the patience he showed waiting for gaps to open up before taking off. Behind a garbage o-line he doesn’t have that time to be patient.

Again, not taking anything away from him. His style complimented the o-line and vice-versa, that’s what made them so dangerous.

  10. Dude could read blocks for sure. He put his hand on his blocker and could tell where he was going to go next. It was like he was drafting in nascar.
