Why The Phoenix Suns’ 4th Quarter Woes Will Improve | Bourguet Breakdown

The Phoenix Suns were by far the worst 4th-quarter team in the NBA last year, with one of the worst 4th-quarter Net Ratings the league has seen in the last 28 years. On the latest Bourguet Breakdown from the PHNX Suns Podcast, Gerald Bourguet takes a look at what went wrong for the Suns in 4th quarters, why their 4th-quarter stats might not be as bad as one would think, and why Phoenix will be much better in 2024-25. With head coach Mike Budenholzer replacing Frank Vogel, plus two actual point guards in Tyus Jones and Monte Morris joining the squad, it’s hard to imagine a Suns team with Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal being this bad in the 4th quarter again.

  1. Great breakdown Gerald, Tyus and Monte handling the ball is going to make a world of difference. Now the Big 3 can do what they do best, score the ball. This is going to be a whole new team.
