  1. Ottawa doesn't lack goalie prospects. Merilainen & Sogaard are still in the pipelines as well as recently drafted Nikitin & Reidler. So Kososov would really have to impress Ottawa to take a flyer (pun intended) to throw him ahead of Sogaard in the depth chart. I'd also say Kolosov doesn't have what Ottawa is looking for in a goalie prospect and that's height. Out of the 4 in Ottawa, Merilainen is the shortest of the 3 at 6'3.

  2. I dont believe Flyers are in rush to move him. He is under contract for several years. He is not even in country so his ability to be distraction is minimal. Most of this is media driven because he was only ranked #20 goalie in KHL last year. A mid level prospect who somehow has gained alot of attention. Likely because it feels similar to Cutter situation last year.

  3. Milstein oddly enough, is also Zayne Parekh's agent.

I am not sold on Kolosov's upside though and the rumour is that the Flyers are looking for a high draft pick. Despite what this beat writer said about the Flames not being in a full rebuild, they are. Also, where did he hear that Vladar was almost traded last season? That wasn't reported anywhere else. If the Flames traded Vladar and brought in Kolosov, they would have an NHL tandem with a total of 18 NHL games. I just can't see that happening.

  4. Honestly, can’t see it…
Vladar just came off a hip surgery and says he’s literally never felt better and absolutely stoked…and I know it’s preseason but he robbed the oilers the other day with McDaniel and Drysitle in the line up…
Finally our patience is paying off and he’s not disappointing us so far…
