Randy Vazquez was excellent. The rookie only allowed ONE hit over six innings. How about Brandon Lockridge's first HR in the majors. The kids did a good job tonight!
And they did this while sitting a couple of starters in preparation for the Wild Card series! Good God!
If you get into the post-season, as we know, it's all about how you're playing at the time. Your record means little compared to that.
And excluding the Padres' loss to the Dodgers the other day, losing the series to them as a result, the Padres are doing everything. Excellent timing.
My commendation once again to Mike Schildt and the coaching staff. You must be among the best in baseball.
