  1. Im a Gooden era mets fan. Did u think the mets were going to come in here and beat the hottest team in baseball? The realhottest team un baseball? If you've been following the Brewers u know they are on baeball LSD. But what I will tell u if the Mets have to play the Braves again, they will win! Maybe the best ks yet to come. We will see.

  2. I think mets will be fine. Tomorrow they'll win. And they'll do enough in the double header to stay in. Diamondbacks lost. Padres smoked them by playing hard to win….not resting, taking it easy. Yanks though in a better situation, have stunk last couple series. They evidently decided to take it easy. Astros helped the Yanks by beating the Guardians and so Yanks got pretty lucky not based at all on their playing well.

  3. Mets still have a chance but even if they don't make it, it isn't a big surprise. This is one of the best seasons the Mets have ever had in the sense that they supremely overachieved. This team should be battling for last place right now, not a playoff berth. That the fans put such high expectations on them is the fans problem. Eventually everything balances out.

  4. Hi, Wardy……another devastating loss……really bad……the bats just didn’t show up tonight……2 hits tonight….the Mets MUST win tomorrow and then versus the Braves on Monday!!…..LGM!!!

  6. If the Mets win tomorrow and Arizona loses, does the Mets still have to play Atlanta as they will still be short of the 162 games? or is 162 games not a requirement if the playoffs is already determined?

  7. D backs helping out greatly. Braves still need one win unless D Backs lose tomorrow. That would make Monday meaningless for Braves except for seeding and they may prefer the 6th seed

  8. I love Pete…but he sucks, he really sucks. Let him go get his money elsewhere. Get Soto ….back up the brinks truck. Vientos is awesome but he needs some tweaking with his plate discipline. Nimmo talked the talk at home against the Phils and backed it up but nowhere to be heard from on the road.

  9. The writing is on the wall. Mets are walking dead. It's ground hog day all over again. I knew when Bader didn't try to sac bunt Marte home, that we would lose. That would have put some pressure on Brewers. Are Mets allergic to bunting?

  10. As a Braves fan, who’s a realist we don’t really have any room to gloat. I was at tonight’s Braves and the bats were silent, glad we won in walk off fashion, we weren’t knocking the cover off the baseball. Go Braves!

  11. This is a gutless bunch. Alonso is not a leader, and I really don’t care if he leaves.
We can move Vientos to 1B, and get 30 HRs with similar D for the next several years.
All 3 of our starters who had great 2nd halves – all effin’ choked.
    See ya next Spring.

  12. For some reason they don't want it bad enough and the crazy part is SD is taking care of the Dbacks and giving the Mets the chance to clinch. Don't understand how we take care of Philly but nothing since.

  13. The Mets have to find ways to win tomorrow. This is what all good/great teams do. No problem beating the Marlins or the Sox or the Pirates. But when it comes to playing the real good teams like Milwaukee, they need to reach back and find their mojo. You can't expect to play the Brew crew like they would play the CWS. Mets can do it, they just need to be a good team tomorrow and FIND WAYS TO WIN.

  14. What the heck is Senga thinking? Acuna playing SS, and Lindor DH ing is a day late. Acuna should have been playing last night. Vientos is still difficult to watch. Manaea needs to get aroused/determined/upset, or something around this frame of mind, rather than being "laid back"/reserved. Iglesius is clutch, and I've never seen so many injuries…Pete is tough to watch, too…Maybe the triple A prospects that have had good games, might be able to do what Acuna has done, next yr….Severino didn't pitch bad (just bad breaks). Manaea was timid, with the money on the line, and Quintana had a pretty good outing. We just need to get Pete and Vientos to please "wake up"

  15. If AZ gets swept, tomorrow, I think the Mets have a better chance with tomorrow's game against Milwaukee, vs having to depend on the Mets trying to win one of the two games on Monday, with Sale & Wellenbach (or however his name is spelled) are pitching. What a shame if they can't win one of the next three games
