If this was the last start for the Chicago Cubs for Kyle Hendricks, it was a fantastic way to end a magnificent career. Kyle pitched in so many big games for the Cubs, including the infamous World Series game seven against Cleveland. Kyle is loved by his teammates and the media alike and would certainly be missed if he didn’t return next year. He wants to keep pitching, we’ll have to see if the Cubs make him an offer. But it was awesome to see him finish up a tough year on a really good note. He went 7.1 innings and gave up just 2 hits and 0 runs.

Ricketts won't let Hendricks leave cubs.. because Ricketts has said he wants Hendricks to retire a cub.

Curious what you think of Hendricks learning a knuckleball to extend his career? I want him in Cubs uniform next year.
It depends on whether other teams will give him a spot since, the Cubs probably don't want to waste a roster spot for him even if he comes back really cheap.

I can see Kyle as middle relief, pitching 1or 2 innings. I’m really appreciative he’s efforts throughout the season the whole career with the Cubs .

What a class act Kyle is. If this was the for him here, the only way to write the ending script would be for him to get the W. The way he pitched he earned it. I hope that the Cubs find a way to bring him back.
90 wins would have put them in the playoffs. A real closer would have made that happen…..
In all honesty. Kyle's last 15 starts are not bad. Long relief next year. Or 4 inning 6th starter
