Minnesota also placed D Joseph Cecconi, D Cameron Crotty and F Adam Raska on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Iowa (AHL).
Minnesota assigned D Stevie Leskovar to the Brampton Steelheads (OHL) and released F Ryan Sandelin and G William Rousseau from their professional tryouts. They will report to Iowa Wild training camp."
A bit shocked Heidt is still here, but Peart makes sense.

Heidt’s probably still here because he can’t go to Iowa. If they could send him down, they probably would have
Heidt will stay until last cuts most likely and maybe into the season. He’s going back to the WHL, so there’s no point in letting him go early.
Wish there was an exceptional status for the AHL like there is the CHL for underagers. Heidt isn’t getting anything by going back to juniors
I mean, we pretty much know the starting roster. Maybe the extra D and an extra F is about all they are figuring out and there is a plethora of reasonable options.
Heidt has not impressed. Bankier, however, looks like he could get in some NHL games this year. Also pleasantly surprised by Boyd and Lauko.
