    Defence was appalling at times though, and needs working on. Offense was fun though, and thats what we need right now.

14. Looking where we were two weeks ago, this was still okay today. Scheme looks good, Legette had some good plays. The first goal line stand and the drops killed us today.
    The defense sucks though.

15. Tough game but good effort. Too many injuries, and Bengals are a good team despite their record. At least our offense is looking solid. Just gotta get those drops under control.

    Refs called a few their way. It happens.

    The team looked good minus the defense. Tackling was horrible. But the offense looked hungry all game. Great game all together.

18. Like….argggg lots of meat left on this bone, so many chances to win! Frustrating game! But frustrating in a much much MUCH better way than two weeks ago. We’re competitive, and that seemed like an impossibility before. Just…gah!

    Feels like this team just gets no love from the football gods. Chance just never seems to go our way – we don’t get the lucky miss or a call in our favor. We got plenty of luck in 2015 and I guess we’ve been paying that one down since then.

20. Ignoring that disappointing last drive, I am proud of our team. We have pieces, a good HC, just need a defense, a long-term QB, and to clean up some stuff on offense. We can score and we are moving the ball though

22. Competitive with a good team fighting for their lives. Happy to look like a competent football team. We just have sucky players time to reload 🤷😈

23. We lost sure but we look competitive. We will be in every game this season. Defense is going to cost us a lot of games though.

24. 2 weeks in a row where I didn’t want to drink bleach immediately after the game. We’re healing.

25. We looked undisciplined. Dalton did pretty well. Play calling was good. Too many dropped passes. Too many mistakes on defense. 3rd and 4 and the defense jumps offsides. Let’s give ourself a chance.

27. We are missing A LOT on defense, and the refs gave them a free TD. I’m not upset with the result.

28. Are people just stupid? Expecting us to be a playoff team or something? Bengals are good team even tho they lost 3. They beat KC if there wasn’t for refs and we had them on one score game.
    It was a great game. If there wasn’t like 6 drops, it could’ve look different. It was a fun game and I’m happy to see good offense and touchdowns…

    And anyone saying Andy sucks (saw couple in game thread) just fuck off, because you don’t know football 😂🤡
    Hope we lock Andy for 1-2 years if he wants to and we develop someone behind him.

29. Legette is gonna be great. Fix up some drops and he will be galloping for TDs. Mingo might not be it though.

30. The Bengals are definitely a better team than us but that one felt like we could’ve won it.

    * Diontae not being able to hold that touchdown in the right endzone.
    * Not tackling Chase on the 65 yard TD when we had him dead to rights.
    * Not converting the 4th and goal.
    * Jumping on the 3rd and 4 at the end and giving them a first down.
    * Felipe Franks catching the fake punt.

    Just small mistakes that a bad team makes but we at least are competitive which I can’t say is the case with Bryce at QB. The more Dalton plays, the worse it looks for Bryce and I was a big defender for him after last year.

    Other takeaways:

    * Mingo and Legette look like they could be good with more work and seasoning. Mingo has to catch that pass right to his face but he’s been a strong blocker.
    * Diontae is really good and I love that we’re throwing the ball deeper his way. If anything, it’s giving us some breathing room for Chuba.
    * Miles isn’t great but he’s making a much more concerted effort when he’s in and he’s getting extra yards.

31. Good game. This is how we expected the panthers to perform this year with a halfway decent Bryce. Ok offense, bad defense. I’m not mad. I feel like a football fan again.

33. I can’t remember the last time this team had some sort of discipline

34. A lot of dropped balls and missed tackles but the fact that we scored 24 points while having all these issues is a breath of fresh air. It’s disappointing to lose a winnable game but damn it’s at least nice to have something to cheer for and have the game be competitive at least.

35. Didn’t get to see the game on tv today because I’m in one of the worst hit spots from Helene in SC and still have no power, but the box score looks like we put up a good fight.

    How’d we look?

36. Certainly a frustrating game at times. But the positive is Dalton is actually allowing us to evaluate Mingo, Leggett, and Johnson.

    If our defensive wasn’t injured and struggling in the depth department – there’s a good chance we win.

    This season most likely isn’t gonna be a playoff season (barring some massive suprise). But we can see explosive growth from our young guys – it’s a success

38. 2 straight weeks of competitive football, I will take it. We def need some line backers and some other pieces on Defense. Out offense is fine. They will be even better with Brooks back

    * Mingo sucks and is trending towards being a giant bust.

    * Losing Shaq and Josey is going to be rough over the next few weeks. Shaq’s injury looked pretty severe.

40. It hurts but I’ll take a loss like that over all the other bullshit we’ve put up with over the last few years.

    Left a lot behind us today. Chase’s long TD shouldn’t happen. So many opportunities to bring him down.

    Cincy also fucked up massively at the end of the 2nd. Luckily for them we forgot how to tackle today and they got away with it. A better team turns that into a 0 point drive. That would have been huge.

    Bad drops by Legette and Mingo. Really killed our momentum a bunch of times. Missed Thielen big time.

    Thurman being a complete moron in the 4th.

    The defense is also completely gutted at this point already.

    Saying all of that, we were still in the game. And I don’t think it’s unfair to say that Cincy are and were the better team today.

    There’s life in this team yet. I’m looking forward to next week. I would love to see us beat the Bears.
