Warriors’ Opinion On Jordan Poole May Have Been “Skewed”, Claims Mike Dunleavy Amid Jonathan Kuminga’s Contract Discussion

  1. Coming off the championship if the Warriors didn’t sign him to the $140 million some other team would have. They would have lost Poole and the Warriors where expecting Poole to be a big part of the future. They did the right thing to keep Poole but, Poole let everyone down with his regression on the court.

  2. I still miss the Poole party. His energy before the punch contributed to our team’s chemistry during that chip szn

  3. My god that is so terribly written. The grammar is just deplorable. What has happened to “journalism”?

  4. Man I’m gratefull for this organization, but the only thing that really bothers me is their babying of Draymond. That punch was really out of line and Kerr knew that. They should have suspended him half the season cause either way the season was ruined to might as well let him have some consequences. Poole probably got cocky but man his confidence was never the same after that. Dray is one of my all time favorites but his antics really put a blemish in his career. I think that was the reason we lost in 2016 and the reason KD left for FA. Cause he can’t check his emotions and let’s it out like a child.

  5. If memory serves, for whatever reason, it seemed like the refs really had it in for Jordan at the beginning of that season – constantly calling him for carrying. It seemed like that destroyed his confidence as much or more so than the punch.

  6. Looking at Drays history, he’s always had that passion and many times it works for us, but there have been more than a handful of times where it has completely backfired and sabotaged the squad.

  7. Why are you all in such a hurry to have Kuminga sign a contract? If we sign Kuminga to a big contract that will severely limit Dunleavy’s ability to maneuver this season and the next offseason.

That aside, Kuminga hasn’t done anything to actually justify a rookie max contract. Currently he’s not all-star/future franchise player material, he’s waaaaaaaay too one-dimensional. His game is based solely on athleticism but he’s never going to be the biggest, strongest, or fastest on the floor. He’s definitely not going to be the smartest, he’s not a shooter, he’s a slightly above average defender, and he can’t consistently create shots for himself and he can’t create for others – so it seems unlikely he’s ever going to take over a game like a real star player can unless he’s got Curry and/or Draymond holding his hands.

Do you guys really think it was a coincidence that the Jazz weren’t interested in him? Danny Ainge is an asshole but he isn’t stupid.
