The Orioles (90-71) used last night’s game to give some players some time off, some others a look, and give a kid like Jackson Holliday a chance to hit leadoff. Folks…it could not have gone much better. Baltimore built an 8-0 lead after scoring in each of the first five innings, with Jackson doing very well out of the leadoff spot, Emmanuel Rivera having one of the best offensive game by ANY Oriole this season, and Tucker Davidson provided most of the outs on the mound after getting a call-up and allowing our postseason rotation to lineup a bit better. Speaking of which, Albert Suarez will start this final game of the season, looking for his ninth win. He will be opposed by the Twins’ Bailey Ober. It should be a fun environment as us fans get to reflect on the season that was and the postseason that is about to start. And me, BW, will likely be acting sillier than usual on a late-night call, end of season, making it 162 out of 162 games called. A celebration in many ways on this final regular season game in 2024. So saddle up, grab some snacks, a drink or six, and enioy the ballgame. Thank yooooouuuuuu.
