Even though he played for us in 2000, this seems kinda weird, I think I would have preferred him just throwing out the first pitch in Seattle in a full A’s jersey. The fact that he’s even doing it in a Seattle game is representative enough of his short stint here.
Oakiners is a solid name. A nod to those tireless gritty seamen who do backbreaking work in the Pacific Ocean harvesting deep water oak trees for lumber industry
