  1. Well if you count the shootout that we decided to have for no reason, both teams scored 4 goals. So that’s *basically* a win for us

  2. Idk how the game looked on the stream, but in person it was really bad.

I’ve seen fewer falls from 1st year mites, it was like someone dulled their skates, people falling everywhere.

And the passing, my god, was it atrocious. So many passes to nobody, at one point Merrill (iirc) left the puck in the Wild defensive zone for his D pairing to pick up, except his pair was already traveling down the ice in front of him…

I didn’t catch who did it, but someone nearly scored an own goal, somehow Wallstedt managed to keep it on the right side of the goal line.

If you told me the boys were on a bender I’d have believed it, I know it’s preseason, but that effort, especially from the vets on the ice, was just pathetic

  3. It was bad hockey.

This is not a group that should play together. Rossi is supposed to be a playmaker and he wasn’t (right after I said this, he scored, so he must’ve heard me). They couldn’t get in the zone or maintain it. There was no net front presence. There were just flat-out boneheaded mistakes. And the passing …

Shots were half of Dallas. Face off percentage finally started coming up in the 2nd, but it was still sub 50%. There’s still a lot of work to do at center.
