What makes it more interesting is since whoever wins the first game knows they are now in, do they pull their best players/pitchers and punt game 2?

I want the split. Fuck the Dbacks for last year.
So because of this it is not possible for the Brewers to play the Braves in the wild card round, we are playing either the Mets or the Diamondbacks. This makes it more likely that we are going to play night games, since the Mets will be coming off a doubleheader and the Diamondbacks are a west coast team to begin with.
Let’s go split!
so we want a split. I don’t care about the super optimistic fans who want revenge from last year, I want no part of Arizona especially after seeing them in town last week. They hit us well and seemingly more so in MKE. I will gladly take either ATL or NYM instead
EDIT: will gladly take just NYM, didn’t see that playing ATL wasn’t an option

SPLIT BABY SPLIT
Atlanta will win game 1, realize they are locked into the 5 seed to play SD, and slack off game 2 to allow NY to win. NY will burn a ton of arms tmrw and then fly back to MIL with a half-dead roster and get swept. MIL vs PHI will determine who wins the NL Pennant.
I’m glad it is a 50% chance we face the Mets. Really looking for some extra innings tomorrow to really help cook them in case we end up facing them on Tuesday.

Wonder what the ethical issue would be with deciding ahead of time with ATL to split.
