In this video, I recap the 2024 Young Stars Classic that took place in Penticton, British Columbia, last weekend. While these games may not carry the same weight as the upcoming pre-season (which also doesn’t matter), they offer a valuable glimpse into the promising young prospects developing within the Vancouver Canucks’ system. Plus, it’s a great way for me to get back into the swing of things before the regular season kicks off in October. I highlight standout moments for as many players as I could, including Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Elias Pettersson, Arshdeep Bains, Max Sasson, Vilmer Alriksson, and more. Thanks for watching, everyone! I appreciate you all!

  1. Regarding the Abbotsford canucks, what's the deal with radio or TV coverage?
I'm in Victoria and the only way I can listen to a game is if I go to the opponent's websites

  2. Dude! I've seen all of the highlights for these games, but I couldn't stop watching because of YOUR commentary! AWESOME! You have a gift as a colour man, but I can see you doing play by play as well.

  3. Watched two of the training sessions and the DeBrusk-Pettersson-Lekkerimaki line was absolute fire!! Their chem was super good! So was the chem for D-Petey & Hronek (whose shot looked as lethal as ever). Kudryavtsev also looked really good out there, Myers not so much 🫢 (he got defensively outplayed by smaller players numerous times and none of his offensive tries were any good). Conor Garland remains the definition of “locked in” and I think Hoglander is gonna have an even better year this season! Both of these players seemed to work well with pretty much anyone. Daniel Sprong might end up as one of the best contracts in the league, cause holy shit that guy is a straight shooter. I can’t recall anyone else getting as many pucks in the net as him. Other standouts were Alriksson, Tolopilo, Raty, Sherwood (who was also an absolute sweetheart and the kindest player I’ve met), Romani (definitely a draft steal), and Sasson. A great surprise was Desharnais, he seemed to gel pretty well with the other players (especially Miller) and actually got a few good shots plus a goal. I think he might perform better than expected with this coaching staff behind the wheels.

  4. 1st time listener. I was expecting a brutal homer video, but I was wrong. Top of the line play description. Top-of-the-line. Some charm and humor but wtfever. That play description is the cornerstone.

  5. First real sponsor, and it's a big oof…

BH has come under fire for having apathetic sessions, if not apathetic therapists. Considering the service they provide, they can't afford to not always operate at 100%. I shudder at the thought of one of those bad sessions being an unfortuante patient's last straw.
