2. Before I start these Notes, I want to let everyone know that I am okay and still amongst the living after Hurricane Helene DEVASTATED Columbia County, GA. Our County was the WORST HIT IN THE ENTIRE STATE OF GEORGIA. Power is not expected to be restored until Late Next Week. Prayers for all affected across the Southeastern states, and many thanks to the People who are stepping up to not only turn the lights back on, but who are doing their best to keep the peace in this trying time in Braves County.

   With that, onto the Notes:
   + GRANT HOLMES WITH HIS BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON, AND HE WASN’T TOLD HE WAS STARTING UNTIL 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO FIRST PITCH! 4 SHUTDOWN INNINGS, Allowing just 1 Hit and 1 Walk while striking out 7 in a No-Decision. Holmes finishes the Regular Season with a 2-1 Record with an ERA of 3.56!
   + AFTER THE BULLPEN COLLAPSED IN GAME 1, THEY LOCKED IT DOWN IN GAME 2, AND IT TOOK A TEAM EFFORT TO DO SO! Hernandez, Lee, REYNALDO LOPEZ, Jimenez, and Iglesias all combined to SILENCE THE METS OVER THE FINAL 5 INNINGS, allowing just 2 Hits and NO Walks while recording 4 Strikeouts! Daysbel Hernandez gets the Win in relief, pitching 1 2/3 FLAWLESS FRAMES while Striking out 2! Hernandez improves to 3-0 on the Year with an ERA of 2.50! Iglesias gets his 34th Save of the Season, getting the CRITICAL 3 OUTS IN THE 9TH, but allowing 1 Hit.
   ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, NO Runs, 3 Hits, 1 Walk, 11 Strike Outs, NO Home Runs Allowed!

   2-9 with RISP, and 7 Men Left on Base… Same Song and Dance all season, but 3 Runs was ENOUGH!
   + GIO URSHELA HAS FOUND HIS GROOVE! 1-3 with an RBI SINGLE in the 3rd! Urshela stands in with a .250 Average with an OPS of .647!
   + THE BIG BEAR WITH THE DECISIVE HIT! 1-3 with the GAME-DECISIVE, 2-RUN SINGLE IN THE 7TH! Ozuna holds firm with a .302 Average with an OPS of .924, but the 40th Home Run he was looking for Eluded him, keeping him at 39 Homers to finish the Season.
   – OTHER NOTABLES: Jorge Soler had a 2-3 Day with a Run Scored, While Albies went 1-4 with a Run Scored. Matt Olson was the ONLY Other Brave to get a hit, Finishing 1-4. Sean Murphy, DESPITE going 0-1, Was Walked TWICE and Scored a Run. Laureano, Urshela, and Olson were the ONLY Braves’ to record a Walk, Meaning Arcia and Harris II had 0’fers in Game 2, going a Combined 0-7 with 1 K.

   + HEAVENS ABOVE… WE MADE IT. DESPITE ALL THE INJURIES, A FRUSTRATING OFFENSE, AND A LOT OF OTHER BS, YOUR 2024 ATLANTA BRAVES ARE POSTSEASON-BOUND! IT HAS NOT BEEN A PRETTY SEASON BY ANY STRETCH… But Sometimes, all you gotta do is get in… THEN RAISE HELL. SAN DIEGO AWAITS. LET’S DO THIS!

   TOMORROW:
   GAME 1 of the 2024 NL Wild Card Round will see YOUR ATLANTA BRAVES travel to Petco Park in San Diego to Battle one of the Hottest Teams in the Second Half of the Season: THE SAN DIEGO PADRES.

   MICHAEL KING will get the call for the Padres, who is coming off a Solid Regular Season, Posting a 13-9 Record with an ERA of 2.95.

   Meanwhile, The Braves have NOT YET made a decision on who will start Game 1… Could we see A.J. SMITH-SHAWVER or HURSTON WALDREP Make Postseason Starts? Or could we finally… FINALLY see the LONG-OVERDUE RETURN OF IAN ANDERSON, Whose last postseason appearance was GAME 3 OF THE 2021 WORLD SERIES?

5. We are October ready baby!! So happy that we won game 2!! Time to go win this whole thing and bring home another World Series championship back to Atlanta!! Just like Snit said: "we're in now fellas!" So proud of this team, Snit, front office staff and all of Braves Country!! Congratulations Braves Country because we are going to the dance again!! Let's show the MLB that the road to the World Series still runs through Atlanta!! Nobody is gonna stop us in the postseason!!! Let's get the job done and take care of business against the Padres, Dodgers, hopefully the Brewers or the Phillies and then whoever we play in the World Series!!! Let's win it all for Ronald, Spencer Strider and Austin!! We won it all in 2021 without Ronald and since we did that I strongly and firmly believe that we can do it again!! 6. Through all the pain, losses, and struggles The Braves made the post season. So proud of them. They definitely shocked me

9. Congrats to the Mets for clinching their spot in Game 1. This was such a fitting ending for the Braves. Very proud of this team. The Braves offense will have to come up with more production against the Padres. But when the Braves are on, they find a way. This group has an opportunity to make something out of this season. That matters. #BravesCountry

20. Daysbel Hernandez is the best pitcher in the bullpen and could easily be an elite closer when Iglesias' contract is up

25. So the worst team in baseball gets handed a gift in game two vs the Mets practice squad. The Braves are terrible and do not deserve to be in any extended playoff system. Easy series win for SD, the braves will likely go hitless.

32. The Mets Were better off playing against San Diego because They Won That series On the Road In Dominant Fashion so Playing Milwaukee on the Road is Going to be the same as They played them Last series
