  1. Hmm thatā€™s a bit of a concerning answer to the first question. Being sarcastic isnā€™t a good look. Iā€™m not necessarily saying he needs to take media questions ultra serious, but a little humility and introspection would have certainly made me feel a bit better

  2. This is like choosing the intentionally wrong answer in the press conferences in MyCareer

  3. I feel this is being misinterpreted. He’s attempting to be relentlessly positive. He’s not going to shit on himself and he’s not going to blame his teammates or his situation. He’s going to focus on what he can control and try to stay happy and engaged no matter what, This is the correct and sustainable long-term approach, even if he is not great at articulating it right now. He’s not unaware of his obstacles, he’s just not going to let them define him either.

  4. You canā€™t be ass and unserious at the same time.. this is why Iā€™m not a fan of this dude heā€™s just weak as hell to me

  5. These thread responses are why I hate sports fans sometimes. This is still a fucking kid. He doesnā€™t owe you anything. For all we know, he couldā€™ve improved his game x10 and all that matters is how that reflects on the court. This press conference doesnā€™t mean squat.

  6. Shaedon got him on that mac & cheese

In all seriousness, heā€™s always been kinda awkward in front of cameras & in interviews. Do I think this somehow translates to some lack of focus/accountability? Not really. He took the question a different way initially and then realized he should probably say something other than good food lol

  7. I donā€™t think he was being sarcastic or even meant to be an asshole with that first answer. I think he was just trying to crack and joke and it didnā€™t land. Dudes nervous and thatā€™s totally okay.

  8. Guys, Iā€™m like 90% positive him saying ā€œthe good foodā€ is just slang for ā€œfood for thought.ā€ Thatā€™s why he immediately follows it with ā€œand what Iā€™ve learned from it.ā€ Heā€™s saying the season offered him a lot of food. A lot to think about. A lot to learn. Or a lot to eat, idfk. Thatā€™s just my take

  9. I wish he would have said he mainly focused on shooting threeā€™s and finishing with his left hand.
