You have to go thru fire to steel. This has been a brutal and encouraging season. We have needed a purge like this for years. We have pitching prospects in the minors. The Angels according to MLB rank fourth in minor league pitching prospects. We have some potentially good young starters on Angels MLB roster. Position players are another story. We have a good core with O’hoppe, Neto, Schanauel. Adell has turned into a very good defensive RF. He still has work to do on his offense. Moniak is still a work in progress. IMO, we should try to move Ward and Rengifo this off-season. I’m not sure what we can get for them. I like that they are going to make Rendon an expensive bench player. I would love to see a couple of healthy years from Trout. I am glad this season is over. They say hope springs eternal. IMO, the Angels will get better when Trout and Rendon are off the books.
The recent sweep by the pitiful White Sox epitomizes the Angels’ season, it was a miserable journey.
Honestly it’s time to trade Trout and eat the contract.

Trade Trout and get of Rendon. Just start over with a young player movement. I feel that no big name free agents will come to the Angels. The aren’t known as winners. They couldn’t win with Ohtani and Trout together. Good luck Angels fans
I feel for Logan and the younger guys. By the end, you could tell it was getting to them and I hope they are able to get rid of some of that over the offseason. Also, grading the players is so hard! I taught high school for a hot second and had no problem doling out F's to teenagers, but the thought of giving some of these guys a bad grade that ultimately means nothing to them is making me sad. 🙁
I foresee another frustrating off season for us Angel fans. When you hear the comments it sounds like the Front Office and Ownership genuinely believes the team under performed which is such a stretch. The problem with the team is that they do the same thing over and over and expect different results (Canning, Detmers, Drury, Contreras, Rendon, Suarez.) Moving on from those guys will be a great start.
