Here is the state of the Cubs.
Jed Hoyer is in over his head.
He isn't Theo Epstein.
He spends too much money on average players.
The Cubs have endless money that they do not use.
They charge the most of any organization for ticket prices.
Jed Hoyer is now 0 for 4 in making the playoffs when almost half the league now gets in.
Hoyer is pathetic.
I listened to the whole thing, he didn’t say anything. He only answered questions. What I heard was 1. He feels good about this team. 2. It was not good enough. 3. He doesn’t know. Inspiring. And since the third base coach bad calls led to so many outs on the bases that they fired the first base coach. He’s full of excuses and I’m tired. He doesn’t have a legit 5 WAR star and built his bullpen staff with DFA players.
Jed is not doing well. How will the next season improve? How long has this been going on? He has signed many bad contracts over the years, and now where can the young players go? If they were ready, they should have been called up after the All-Star Break. The Tigers are passing him by?! It's outrageous for him to say such nonsense! All he does is look for scraps, and trading Nico won't fix this team. Cody, Dansby, Isaac, Wisdom, Mastro, Smyly, and Madrigal need to leave. Half of them can't because of their terrible contracts. So what’s his plan? He just got Isaac, Cody might stay, he’s stuck with Dansby, and for some odd reason, he got rid of Bote but kept the other bench players. First it was Ross, and now he's blaming the weather? Seriously?! Saying the weather is to blame is the dumbest thing I've ever heard from him. Other teams have no trouble winning against the Cubs at Wrigley.
