Fields gonna get us that 4th round pick playing like that
Near the bottom in efficiency and QBR. I won’t make endless excuses for him like most on this sub. He needs to play better. We can’t keep saying, oh but he had that one really good throw. Our offense has sucked, no way around it.
EPA is a team stat.
Well see them go at it when week 8 gets here.
Kind of crazy how West coast Tlaw gets everyone to still make excuses for him 5 years into his career.
So is Watson good or not? Good by PFF standards, but bad by EPA standards?
This is about where I would Expect Williams to be, and that’s also what I would have expected in April if I could tune out my inner meatball. What’s important to the Bears is how fast Williams can improve. The Bears defense is good enough to keep them in most games, so if Caleb does get better than a lot of games that would be near impossible to win now, could be toss ups later in the season.
so we still suck?
I want to see Daniel’s try and do what he’s doing against our D. If we stop the run against Washington he will be forced to test our secondary and those guys are starting to hurt wideouts.
Interested, excited and anxious to see what this looks like at the end of the year. It hasn’t been a great start for Caleb but I do feel he has looked better these last two weeks. Obviously there is still a need to improve tho.
I am shocked that this isn’t get downvoted.
Bears legend Andy Dalton near the top
Justin Fields has been better than both Caleb and CJ Stroud hahaha
How clear this paints the picture of how dated and poorly run, coached, you name it, this organization is when two QBs on this chart don’t play for Bears anymore and are much higher in both categories than Williams is. I hate it here.
Watch the games, ignore the stats, free yourself
My fiancé is from Chicago and so i have been invested in Caleb’s progress with her dad and Bros. I also got to see him play in person against Colorado last year. He had a hell of a game and was really able to pick apart their defense and make these crazy accurate throws. I will say objectively that the OL is an issue and i don’t love some of Waldron’s play calls – especially the scripted plays at the beginning last week with the screens. I’m not sure they are quite hitting the mark with catering the offense to him. Some of the stuff seems pretty complicated and/or too long to develop but he has shown he can make some great throws. Anyways, my philosophy is if something becomes too complex or isn’t quite clicking, go back to basics – I’m talking drag routes, slants, etc – bears certainly have the talent at wr to execute. I guess my opinion is unrequited but just wanted a forum to express my thoughts. You guys have a good one at qb and it’s exciting to see him improve a lot each game.
If this tells me anything it’s that Watson is the most overpaid QB and Trevor Lawrence is a close second.

Will Levis the goat
Daniels is just ridiculous, I don’t get it
Combining EPA and PFF charts showing Caleb has struggled? Bold in this sub.
If he can improve his deep ball, he has a lot of room to grow:
