  1. So you’re trying to compare Fields to one of the top 10, maybe top 5 quarterbacks ever? Got it

  2. I feel like Fields has been getting more hype recently. Although tbf I mainly pay attention to the rest of the league from a fantasy perspective. Mahomes sucks in fantasy

  3. I like Justin Fields a lot and think he could be the future here don’t get me wrong, but comparing him to Mahomes is crazy. Multi-time superbowl winner vs a guy with a losing record in his NFL career. We all know we would rather have Mahomes than Fields.

  4. Bro I’m pretty high on fields right now, but how in the hell are you comparing him to a mvp and 3 time Super Bowl champion 💀. Fields played bad enough on his past that the team that they decided to trade him for a conditional 6th. Hopefully fields keeps playing well, but this is one of the wildest things I’ve ever seen lol.

  5. This is a bad argument and you know it.

    1) Fields has a lot of support with Steeler fans

    2) Fields career accomplishments are not in the same area code as Mahomes

Literally everything g about this is in bad faith

  6. Be honest. Would you trade Fields for Mahomes, (and the Chiefs restructure Mahomes’s contract so that he cost the same as Fields)?

  7. Conveniently left off the 4-0 under Mahomes. You can also put a 3-1 under him for his Super Bowl record

  8. If Fields had Andy Reid and not gone to the Bears, he could have been on Alex Smiths level. He would have gotten the Chiefs to the playoffs with all those weapons and Andy. Super bowl. I’m not sure.

But Mahommes on the Bears. He doesn’t have a losing record but I don’t see super bowls or traded to us for a 6th

  9. Why did you leave off Mahomes W-L record lol

But yeah turns out when you’re an MVP, HOFer, and 3x Super Bowl champ people think you’re pretty good

  10. Fields is greater all time than Mahomes and I’m sick of pretending he’s not

  11. I think there is a difference between declaring that “he shouldn’t be QB 1” and saying “it not unreasonable to get a look at Russ”.

Look at it this way. Fields looked bad in Chicago and under new coaching and our system he looks really good. Russ looked better than Fields last year so it’s possible that his improvement will be proportional and he will look even better than does now. Wilson has looked like a better passer in his career and he can roll out of a pocket too.

We know Justin is good. That is now the floor. No reason not to check if Russ is above that. If he isn’t then put Fields back in and sign him to an extension. Not a big thing.

  12. The question is can Fields sustain this?

Mahomes has done it in the past. For him, this is just a slump which he will get out of until proven otherwise

  13. I’d argue that most people are not saying for Mahomes MVP and actually realize he’s not had a great season so far

  14. Yeah my fucking fantasy would happily take Fields over Mahomes here lately. My goodness..

  15. Steelers fan in Philly country.

It’s the same bullshit here with Jalen hurts. Although I actually do believe that he has some legitimate concerns

And sadly, I don’t know all that much about Fields because despite the fact that I live in Pennsylvania, New York Giants or the cowboys are on more frequently than the Steelers

  16. lol with this post I’m going to have to leave this sub. I can’t with these cult of Fields

  17. When State Farm is the leagues largest sponsor and Mahomes is their spokesperson, the referees will make sure you see the Chiefs in every Super Bowl.

  18. It’s about perspective. Has he had a better career than mahomes? No, absolutely not. Could we be saying he had a better or at least comparable season by the end of the year? If we put the hypothetical outcome of this year in a vacuum, its possible. Probably not with our luck but I’m optimistic.

  19. It seems like the majority of this sub is excited about Justin Fields and there is a lot of pretending going on to get upvotes.

  20. I complained about the loss but have been pleasantly surprised by the QB play this year. Fields is light years better than the scrubs we had last year.

  21. This is a dumb strawman of a post, and just a silly comparison in general that’s just begging for criticism

I wonder if either player’s history has any bearing on how they are treated…

Fields still has plenty to prove, Mahomes does not

  22. Everyone is taking this too serious thinking OP is trying to make the point that Fields is better than Mahomes. It’s just pointing out that Fields has legit been playing like an elite quarterback and this just gives a good frame of reference for that. Absolutely no one here thinks he’s better than Mahomes lmao, but having more yards and a better TD/INT ratio through 4 weeks is really impressive. If Fields becomes a league average starter it’s a massive success story given what we gave up for him . He’s playing winning football and last Sunday was the best quarterback play the Steelers have had in years as they’ve been completely dog shit at that position for a while, fans should be excited about him.

  23. I love what Fields is doing, but this is some fine, fine A+ trolling. Well done OP!!
