I remember that like it was yesterday…
And dodged facing Cueto a second time in game 5. What a wild, wild postseason run.
Stopped the even year BS.
It’s crazy how many times we were almost eliminated during that playoff run
My favorite part about those teams was how everyone got together after a few years and decided winning was just kinda meh so they cheaped out in free agency, traded actual guys for hope and found their spot in that warm, cozy mediocrity that was more comfortable.
I was at game 2 of that series! My only playoff game so far.
This felt so similar to the Blackhawks 2 in 17 seconds win. This post started a Cubs doc binge an hour ago and we’re still goin strong.
I hate how in Chicago all of our great sports points are never in the present.
It’s going to be in my head forever. My daughter was literally being born while they went on that rally to win. The game was on in the room, but I was a little busy supporting my wife to watch it live though. Had to go back later and watch.
Bullpens won’t win you games, but they’ll sure as hell lose them for you
Good thing we didn’t make playoff this seaosn cuz we would’ve blown one
Clutch hit after clutch hit after clutch hit.
For the 2023-2024 Cubs, with runners in scoring position everyone does their best Jason Heyward impression.
Luck caught up to us I guess.
I was at that game in SF. When the starter came out it was such a relief, and I remember we pulled all the superstitious stuff as each batter did something good haha. It was stressful and then so much fun!
