Miller time? Räty too? The #canucks get ready for final tune up on Friday

As the Canucks get set for their final preseason game on Friday, the roster is taking shape following the most recent round of cuts. Matt and Blake take a look at who’s making a case and who’s in trouble, plus where’s JT Miller? Well, The Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalii provides the details on Miller and the rest of the Canucks question marks, as the regular season begins to get closer. Plus, Frank has the latest goalie news here with Demko, and on the soap opera in Boston as Jeremy Swayman attempts to get a deal in time to start the year. Then it’s RinkWide’s Jeff Paterson with a recap on the night that was for the Canucks in Edmonton, and his report cards on the few players who had something on the line. Not to mention, JPat mentions a jewel in the rough that the Canucks have to be excited about. All that, plus the latest around the Lions and Whitecaps, as they each try to return to their winning ways!

  1. Just want to say that you guys are first class all the way. While I miss hearing you on the radio waves, I enjoy listening to you throughout the day. Keep it rolling!

  2. I'm sorry but everyone saying young players or guy finally healthy having a career season is just dumb.

Do people think that at 24 or 27 Brock and Quinn will now suddenly regress? Hell even JT at 30+ is very much capable of repeating or bettering his season simply for the fact our pp was bottom third for the last 30 games of the year.

Guys like Quinn, EP, Brock, Hoglander, Hronek a healthy Demko, are just scratching the surface since none except Brock and maybe Demko are at the age where they are fully in their peak years, the rest haven't even reached that point yet. But healthy those two should be expected to play at the same level at least, while the others should be expected to get even better.

If people think the team regresses ( I see it way different) fine but using the career season bullshit as a reason why for guys in their early to mid 20's is just baffling to me and is something I'd expect oilers fans to spout.

That being said, I think Matt and Blake the last coupe of years have completely redeemed themselves in my eyes. Harkening back to the team 1040 days I felt they got sucked into the trap of every other Vancouver media person where they were overly negative to create drama and toxic content.

Now I think they are so much better, not homers in the slightest but fair, balanced and knowledgeable.
The rest suck balls and are still upset that the organization refuses to leak shit and because they don't, media here creates false, salitious stories that end up looking ridiculous.

A good example is the Demko wanting out last season, or that they wanted to trade JT and that Quinn was so sick with COVID he was on an IV. Seeing those bullshit stories proven wrong immediately was hilarious.
