Just because we have beloved Posey running things now doesn’t mean we are all of a sudden contenders. This team still has the same issues that we all witnessed this season. There will be a period of losing if he does things the right way. The right way meaning a true rebuild.
Fans can lose. Remember Chris Mullin as Warriors GM? He was an absolutely horrible GM … but fans still love him. So yeah… doesn’t matter how good or bad a job he does, fans will still love him. But he might be bad.
Plus he isn’t an analytics fanatic. Like if I am in a slump but look good in cage today, put me in the line up.
I think it’s funny how when he was still a player a lot of us were saying how we hoped he’d manage some day. Dude just said fuck that, I’ll run the whole organization. I’m really pumped for this.
