  1. “Chauncey [Billups] is great, I feel like it’s two different styles. Practices were definitely harder at UConn, for sure.” Clingan said. “Chauncey is more laid back, great coach. Danny’s is intense, man,” Clingan said smiling. “It’s two and an half hours of getting yelled at, he’s a very intense coach.”

  2. Not a good look for Chauncey in my opinion, we need that Mike Macdonald Seahawks coach type approach. Gotta push your players and hold them to a standard if you want results.

  3. honestly don’t know why this is an issue. Uconn coach is coaching teenagers so him being intense makes sense in forming those young men. Chauncey is coaching in a grown man league, so him being a harsh ass in TRAINING camp does no one any good.

  4. No no no we didn’t lose by 60+ pts TWICE last year because Chauncey is a soft coach. That can’t be the reason….

  5. I’m sure fans won’t over react to how hard a college team of amateurs is ran verses an NBA team whose players are expected to show up in shape.

  6. Finally a real star! Kids not interested in being the me Dame, only a better basketball team. And he is already not seeing the work ethic he’s used to seeing Jody.

  7. Hopefully we’ll get a legitimate, experienced coach when we’re done tanking.

  8. College coaches always run harder/stricter ships than pro. That’s why college coaches in football have a hard time when they jump to NFL. You have way more authority over a 19-year old whose career/scholarship depends on you vs a 25-year old who makes 10x more money than you and could probably get you fired

  9. To add to the reasons already mentioned, you can’t run crazy hard practices in the NBA because they play 4x the games as in college and there is the CBA which limits what can be done in practices.
