The Royals winning a ring and then rebuilding and then making it to the playoffs before the Angels make it back…sicko shit.
(Same with the Tigers more or less going through a second rebuild after firing Al Avila. This is some sick behavior from the universe)
The Angels are barely learning what a rebuild is
Yeah….no. Requires a front office to make and hit on a bunch of moves, along with a multitude of homegrown talent.
The angels have some homegrown talent, but they have negative depth at the minor league level and even if they do make big off season moves, the track record says those moves are gonna be hilarious (but not in the good way).
This team likely doesn’t compete again until the very twilight years of Trout’s career and maybe not until after that. I will be glad to be wrong and here’s hoping I am.
If Arte just signed checks and gave Perry a bubble of cash, I think we would be better. Our scouting department has gotten better in the amateur areas, and we are hitting on later round picks in the big’s. Our Major league scouting department sucks donkey dick though.
Trout will have to DH 50-60% of the time moving forward in order to keep his stick in the lineup. Move Tony, always hurt & I hate baseball Rendon to an expensive bench piece. Maybe move Ward for a few pitchers, and give Trout/Paris left field. We still need a solid Ace & #2 and they’re not in our farm anywhere yet. We have a lot of 3’s and a sprinkle of 2’s.
