Evan I could not disagree with you more. We had them on the ropes, they have their 1-2-3 ( most dangerous part of the lineup) coming up you HAVE TO go to Diaz in that spot. It’s our guy vs their best guys. He should have never went to Maton to begin with and leaving him in for as long as he did when it was obvious he didn’t have anything is malpractice.
I also loath this notion that it’s predetermined that “Butto is not available” and Diaz is “only available for a few batters. WHY????? Butto pitched 25 pitches yesterday and breezed through 2 innings didn’t break a sweat!!!! Why would it be predetermined that he can’t pitch in a series clinching game???? Why is it predetermined that Diaz can only go after a few batters???? We preserve these guys all season to unleash them in the playoffs. It makes no fucking sense!!!!!!

Maton threw a 1-0 called strike to Churios…..I immediately thought that the next pitch has got to miss the plate because Churios will absolutely swing after just taking a pitch over the plate. So what does Maton do?? He throws a high fastball in the strike zone….the worst possible location.
Met had many chances to put Milwaukee away and left my runners stranded. They were it aggressive enough. Nets have a 3-2 lead. Can Carlos put in Diaz to pitch the 8th and 9th innings. Winning managers go for the damn kill. Opps!!!! Not Carlos!!!!’ 🤦🏾

Mets ruined my birthday celebration this failure of a team energy offense lacks tonight scored 8 game 1 game 2 scores 3 run really mets had the lead 3 to 1 both the 8 brewers find a way to get the lead back mets opportunity to closing a series sweep again quintana and mets bats have to get hot and bullpen problem has to stop leave a crack open for the brewers team basically back and rally take a lead no response from the mets tomorrow celebrate or what if off season OMG please win let go mets
they have a really good chance of winning next game
I'd like a 20 inning game on Thursday regardless of the winner. The Phillies would like nothing better than to play an exhausted team because they must win it all this year.Time is running out.The Mets and Brewers were not expected to be here.

Today’s game was a perfect example of how Pete Alonso’s season went offensively…. Bumbling, tripping, falling, strike outs, ground into double play, and a single with 2 outs and nobody on base
No it was either 7 or 830 if the Braves won
I have no issue with Maton pitching. He pitched the wrong inning, bring him in the 6th. Reed in the 7th, Stanek in the 8th, Diaz closes.
