Silence the Noise | Royals Sweep Orioles from Playoffs

Following the dominant pitching performance in Game 1 of the AL Wild Card Series, the Royals looked to wrap up the series in Game 2. Vinnie Pasquantino struck in the 1st inning, driving home Michael Massey to put the first tally on the board following a leadoff double. Seth Lugo would battle the Orioles for 4.1 innings, allowing just one run, but leaving the bases loaded with one out for Angel Zerpa who promptly retired the first two he faced to avoid danger. For a second straight game it was Bobby Witt Jr. coming through with a clutch RBI single to put the Royals on top in the 6th inning. John Schreiber, Sam Long, Kris Bubic, and Lucas Erceg would make it count as they put the Orioles away with four scoreless frames to give the Royals a series sweep and send them to an AL Division Series date with the New York Yankees.

  1. Royals offense is anemic, but the tiny little litter box in the Bronx should be just what ANY offense needs to get jump started. Just hit the ball in the air in any direction and you have a 95% chance of touching them all. Go Royals!

  2. First game against Yankees starts at 17:38 lets go!!!

Lo cain- "theres 17 to 38 plays we've made" (2015 world series champs) 1738 was a bonding term for that world series team and now we gonna use it again. ❀

  3. let's go royals!!! i remember cheering them on 9 years ago in the world series, and hopefully we can celebrate once again!! lets go postseason royals wooo!
