  1. WTF was Cowser thinking swinging at ball 4 at a pitch that not only almost hit him but would’ve walked in game tying run. And then added injury to insult breaks his hand. I swear this team might be cursed

  2. KC 20-game season ticket holder here (even during the recent seasons where we lost 100+ games): your pitchers are really really good. Your scoring abilities not so good tonight. Irony here is that we Royals fans would be saying exactly the kind of comments y’all are saying if we had lost. Honestly, we were lucky to move on.

  3. I have been a diehard Orioles fan since the 1970s. Orioles the past two years have shown me a lot of promise. Translating promise into post-season success has been their challenge. I think the Orioles need to make many changes during the off season:

    1. Demoting and/or firing Brandon Hyde. Since July 2024 there has been a challenge with the bats. Brandon moving people around the order was not a good thing. O's lost Westburg but that was in August 2024.

    2. Replacing the batting coaches. Orioles are not discipline at the plate. Too many strikeouts

    3. Revamping the bullpen by saying goodbye to Soto and Perez

    3. Signing Burnes to long-term deal

    4. Acquiring bats that have won in the playoffs

    5. Revamping the starting pitching. Bradish is out until at least the Allstar break. I think it is time for McDermott and Povich to become key starters.

Orioles need to take these lessons and learned from them. Playoffs are completely different game.

  4. Great points by both of you. One thing I'll add is that the additions and changes must be addressed during the off-season. We've seen that you can't expect to be able to make meaningful additions at the trade deadline any longer. The trade deadline is really just planning to add relief help on the margins.

  5. "You hope they will learn from this."
Learn what??? Learn how to advance runners? Learn to not swing at pitches a foot off the plate? They don't know this already??? 😮
