  1. God it’d suck so ass if the dodgers lose this round. But Ohtani is such an unknown factor in the playoffs and in similar environments he’s popped off, so I have high hopes for him. I also think teoscar is ready for the big moments. It’s genuinely not possible Betts and freeman perform as poorly as they did last year. The starting pitching has question marks, but the rangers ranked 25th in era last year and they won, and the dodgers lineup can win games regardless if they can live up to their potential.

Yamamoto has flown a bit under the radar lately since he’s coming back from injury, but he’s shown the ability to turn it up to 11 in high leverage spots, I think there’s a very good chance he has a great outing. And flaherty has been great this season, so I feel good about him too. He’s looking for a big contract in the off season so I’m sure he’s eager to impress. I have mixed thoughts on Buehler game 3 but I think there’s a good chance he also has a great outing. If it gets to game 4 it’s more than likely gonna come down to the lineup and/or bullpen, and then probably back to flaherty if there’s a game 5.

  2. Yall gonna have to carry the faith for me. I’m out. I won’t doom, I just have no confidence in this offense. Yeah, we got shogoat, I think he will ball out. My concern is Mookie, Freddie and everyone else.

Pads pitching is far healthier than ours and I think we get swept and continue our playoff loosing streak.

I really hope I’m wrong, but this week off I think is a negative and ruins hitters.

  3. I’m sure I’ll get that awful pit in my stomach that I always get during playoff games, but I feel pretty calm rn. Dodgers can’t do anything in this series that they haven’t done in the last four years so 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. Probably not trying to show a bias as MLB braintrust and television are most likely salivating at the thought of Dodgers Yankees world Series.

  5. I feel like every post season always comes down to hitting. So much talk about the rotation being weak, but if there is a reason why we get bounced in any playoff rounds is because we couldn’t hit.

Winning it all this year really feels like the bats can’t be cold.

  6. Pitching matchup has me a little nervous especially with our offense in the postseason…

  7. im so excited!!!!! maybe because its my first ever postseason ? ( i started watching baseball mid 2021because of shohei and corbin burnes) i know the dodgers are known for choking in the playoffs but im wayyyy more excited than scared!! my prediction is 3-1 dodger !!

  8. I feel strangely not nervous about this series, in a way I haven’t felt since the 2020 NLDS. Our pitching may not be perfect, but they keep us in games, and that’s better than we can say about last year. Hell, it’s better than we can say about the Tigers, and they just swept the Astros! Our offense has been popping off: over 6 runs per game in September compared to the Padres’ 4.

This team fools both media and fans alike because they aren’t what you’d expect from a Dodger team. They aren’t going to just dominate in every aspect of the game, and it can get ugly at times, but they always fight back. It isn’t pretty, but it works. We didn’t run laps around the league, but we came out quietly with the best record in baseball once again despite everyone saying we suck compared to previous years.

The key will be the same as it was in last week’s series: get their starters out ASAP and mash off the pen.
