  1. Only good news about this must mean maye is night and day better in practice, only reason they’d be on the verge of mutiny

  2. If Brissett sucks again and we lose this week, Mayo will have no choice but to start Maye, if he doesn’t, he loses the locker room, and thats about the worst thing that can happen to a rookie coach.

  3. Tough call – really do not want your rookie getting blasted and injured behind the worst O-line in football. Especially if he was being given a chance to learn and practice without the pressure of being a starter. However, having a fractured and toxic locker room is probably worse for a rookie QB to be around, I guess it time to switch if this is true.

  4. Breaking:  locker room struggles when you don’t play the best player available at the most important position on the field

    Who could’ve seen this coming?

I was told that because Mayo told the players they sucked, they wouldn’t get mad about sucking!

  5. This wouldn’t be an issue if the players just read the comments on this sub explaining how stupid they would be for wanting Maye to start right now. I mean, they’re just players, how would they know more about football and the Patriots than a redditor?!?!

  6. theres clearly a split between those like probably AVP and Wolfe who want to stick to the plan and others like Mayo and the rest who want Maye to start

  7. You know who would never let his TEAM devolve into mutiny?

    Of course you know who.

Shame on anyone who thought he was the problem.

    The happy endings are over.

  8. I can’t wait till the put maye in then he inevitably gets hurt. Just gonna ruin the kid for 5 win season

  9. Man. I’d sure love everybody who downvoted me when I said this was a possibility to raise their hands.

I wish I was enough of a petty dork to keep receipts.

  10. Good thing we chased Bill off! Krafty Bob going to come CRAWLING back to BB. Think he had too much control before? Just wait. Gonna get a stake in the team, a third airplane, and get to pick the cheerleaders.

  11. Bill was a hard ass and insufferable at times but being buddy buddy with everyone has Mayo close to really losing control.

  12. It sends a pretty bad message to the locker room that you don’t care if certain people get hurt, but you do care if others do (Maye), especially when you admitted he’s been the better QB.

Mayo is really bad at this.

  13. Did y’all have complete mutiny in the first 5 weeks on y’all’s bingo cards? I sure as hell didnt.

  14. Many people don’t realize that the locker room in Pro football is serious. These guys have a lot of potential money on the table if they can’t put up solid stats. Doesn’t matter if you’re the next THill, if you don’t get the ball then your next contract will be shit…

Mayo needs to realize this fast and do whatever he can to put up some real numbers or he will lose that room…

  15. Kraft spent the first 3/4 of the dynasty shedding his reputation as a meddler from the Parcels days and then threw it all away by siding with Tom’s insecurity and dumping Jimmy G. This is the result. We got one more championship out of it but ultimately lost Tom and got left with nothing.

Now he won’t knock it off because he wants to be in the hall of fame as an owner, which is about the dumbest thing to be thirsty for that I can think of.

  16. They’re gonna put Maye in and he’s either going to be nowhere near as good as everyone’s “grass is greener” outlook is claiming or he’s going to get broken in half with this terrible O Line.

I’m excited for the future as much as anyone but everyone sounds like kids crying because they can’t open their Christmas presents in October. Have some damn patience.

  17. Even if he is head and shoulders better at the quarterback position, our offensive line is absolute dog shit. We would actively hurt his development in the NFL with him growing into the league feeling nothing but ghosts during every snap of the ball. He’s going to develop really bad habits out of fear that he’s gonna get sacked every down.

I see why they do not wanna play him behind this offensive line. You may be unable to undo the damage you will do to his development. Having him spend his time doing first team reps in practice, without fearing for his life is a good baby step until they can properly protect him.
