“I wanna be myself. That’s probably the biggest thing Shea Weber told me: ‘stay true to yourself.’ You don’t get named captain for someone they want you to be in the future, you get named captain for who you are right now. I just try to do everything I can to lead the team properly.” – Nick Suzuki

  2. It’s gotta be an insane amount of pressure for Suzy, being the youngest ever captain.

  3. I can’t imagine where this team would be without Suzuki. Reminds me of Koivu, a leader in all respects while being a showstopper himself

  4. Not sure if it’s true, but apparently he was a douchebag in highschool lol good thing he matured. The C fitted him perfectly last season.

  5. It’s a big deal for him to stay true to himself, especially under all that pressure. Can’t wait to see how he leads this year.
