To the American League we go!

I know the odds were heavily stacked against us from the get-go, but it’s still crazy how we were the only lower seed team to get knocked out the wild card 😔

  1. I hate watching from the outside.

Mets and Phillies play each other… so at least ONE of them will lose.

  2. can’t wait to see those two destroy each other only for San Diego to win the NLCS

  3. I know you are joking about going to the AL but did you know the Braves are the only team to play in the NL for its entire history (since 1876)? The cubs were also founding members of the league but they left and came back during the dead ball era.

  4. Milwaukee Brewers played 8 solid innings. Milwaukee Braves showed up to close it. Now I guess I’m an AL central fan! It would be interesting to see Will Smith win his 4th consecutive ring with a 4th different team.

  5. SD all the way. If we get tossed by the eventual champions, then we could legitimately be second best for all we know. Plus, the other 3 NL teams are all the devil.

SD vs KC sounds good to me.

  6. Yes just looked it up . Firing up a heater as i type. Miss you Wash. this one’s for you

  7. Uh… I’m big time team Padres right now. We have no real reason to have beef with them.

Also they have fucking sweet city connect colors.

  8. I’m kinda excited to see Philly fans and Mets fans rip into each other. Should be entertaining.

  9. The Brewers lost in about the most brutal fashion imaginable, too.

And if you thought our playoff performances are usually not good because we’ve gotten bounced from the 1st round so often the last 20 years, the Brewers’ situation has been absolutely apocalyptic.

55 years of existing, 10 playoff berths, exactly 3 playoff series wins grand total, and none of those wins are in a row. Literally the only thing they have to remember is a pennant they won 42 years ago, which led to a world series in which they lost to their eventual division rival Cardinals.

You could hear it in Bob Uecker’s voice at the end of the game last night on their radio call, he was really hurting from last night. He’s well aware he doesn’t have a whole lot of chances left to see the crew go the distance, and like a lot of the fans out there in a few ways it sounded like he was losing his hope for the team.

I feel so, so bad for Bob and Brewers fans, man. They don’t deserve to keep losing like this.

  10. I plan on watching Phillies vs Mets as it should be good baseball but I don’t know who I want to win. I guess my Mets hate is fresher.

  11. i could live with SD winning one. thats a great sports town and they deserve a championship
