Does Bregman sign with a heavy backend salary? Does he sign a longer contract with large benchmark bonuses, smaller salary? There has got to be a way. I’m not sure how everyone else feels but he is a major contributor to us even getting 2 games in October this year.

I can’t see it happening. Ownership has put the Astros in a rough situation with payroll by all the terrible contracts we have piled up. Not to mention we have like 5 SP coming off the IL at various points in 2025. I would love to see us keep him but I can’t see it happening
Doesn’t look good but I hope he sticks around. I’m sure the front office will look at the injured pitchers coming back next year and not want to pay him. Especially with Bregman in limbo.
