  1. Plain and simple plan: Young guys continue to take a step this year. Team contends for playoffs next year. Team contends for cup in 3 years. Window is open for 5 years thereafter.

  2. I will say this, you guys give reasons why you put them number 8 or 7, which is more than most analyst or fans who put them automatically 8 without reasonable analysis…I put them at 5 even with Laine's injury for 4 reasons. 1. You cannot have the same results as last year in point when adding the next Quinn Hugues/Cale Makar/Adam Fox/Miro Heinskenen, level of player in Lane Hutson in your line-up…it's ludicrous to think otherwise and makes no sense. 2. Kirby Dach with Newhook is your second line that you didn't have last year, which is huge and is gonna be better in the middle of the year with Laine's return. Armia or Roy will complete that line. 3. All the Atlantic teams are good, and also super unstable with problems and questionnable situations. Montréal it's injuries…you past that, they still have a great chance ! 4. We have a duo and not a goalie trio this year…that situation made Montréal unstable and we kept the best of the 3, that will help.

Montréal 5th, i expect them to battle for the wildcard this year, too many good young guys to pass them casually !

  3. I won't make any predictions about where they fall in the div because Atlantic is the division of death this season, but I think the S-M-L top line (Small Medium Large) will finally click into place like a USB cable the second time you turn it over. As for Laine, he was never in the equation prior to August, so he's a real situation no change until he comes back, where he's a plus. The D corps was a logjam, so Reinbacher being out sucks, but it's not a critical issue, we've got bodies to push forward. As for the third and fourth forward line? As absurd as it may sound, I genuinely think this season is the Josh Anderson redemption arc, and people will be saying it come the back half of the season
