Really looking forward to watching Knecht this season. So happy basketball is back!
DALTON STAYED KNECHTED
I thought the backup unit that’ll actually get minutes looked good. JHS was sneaky good and Gabe looked good in the third
I loved the motion and offball movement in JJs offense. It’ll only look better with AD and Lebron out there
Max’s awakening. 🔥
Knecht and Dillingham are really good.
Max Christie looks ready! Vincent has got his poise back! JHS looked good and hopefully can keep building. Dalton is gonna get time due to his fearless three point shooting.
JHS 6 assists 0 turnovers 👀
Pretty exciting to have lakers ball back and wow great things from all the young guys and Gabe, definitely got my hopes up for this coming season.
Rui looked rough. Most of the main guys looked good though. Loved what I saw from Christie and Knecht. JHS needs a bit more time to develop. Bronnys offense is going to hinder him but his defense is good. Need to give Lewis one more year but I wasn’t liking what I saw
Very disappointed in Rui’s game. I know he was in the Olympics but you can’t run around like that look worse than rookies.
Happy Gabe seems to be back.
Knecht was good but he needs to take care of the basketball better. His late turnovers in the 3rd were really really bad.
Bronny’s defense and passes were good but he needs to polish his offensive game and drives to the basket when his 3 ball isn’t falling.
Looked great- Max, Dalton
Looked good- Gabe, JHS
Looked okay- Dlo, AR, Hayes
Looked bad- Rui, Colin, Lewis
No expectations- Bronny (he Looked mostly lost) and Traore
Awesome development from Max. Dalton is undeniably good. JHS showed good improvement albeit with some familiar holes. Gabe Looked solid, if nothing special. Rui was bad and then set up to fail by playing Center. No growth or not enough from Lewis and Colin. Lewis needs a new home.
Dalton will play more then rui or will deserve more mins at some point in the season
Knecht’s defense looked worse as the game went on. The first half he was looking a little above average defensively. Second half he got exposed. Liked is offensive game though.
Greats sets by JJ. Max and Dalton look ready to contribute. Rui playing center had him looking unfairly crazy out there but this sub doesn’t care about that lol. Hopefully Koloko clears soon or we get another big cuz that ain’t gonna work.
The good: offense had some great ball movement and I can see the vision once the three’s fall more consistently. MAX CHRISTIE LEAP IS REAL!!, Dalton already MY ROTY!!. Austin’s defense looks great and it’s gonna be even better when he doesn’t have to guard the best player every night.
The Bad: Rui’s defensive IQ was trash and honestly at this point I don’t know if he can get better? Like this is his ceiling and imo vando needs to start the minute he’s healthy.
The ugly: we’re so small 🙁 and I know it’s because we don’t have any bigs besides AD but this was a huge worry of mine that we didn’t tackle in the off season and it’s gonna be a major problem until the deadline.
JHS still doesn’t look nba ready but I gotta admit he had some nice dimes
Lakers need big men badly, maybe another small forward if Vanderbilt isn’t able to play most of the season.
The young guys looked great tonight, Seeing Max rebound and play defense is always refreshing.
Dalton was a threat everywhere on offense. Just need him to work on the turnovers and defense, He should be receiving passes more than dishing them himself.
JHS looked more confident to start, but seems like he was lacking in 3 point shooting and interior scoring.
Bronny was making the right reads on defense. Hopefully his offense gets better.
Max and Knecht both looked like rotation players. Nice to see Gabe Vincent hit some 3’s.
Max and Dalton looked good, all I really care about
Fuck Ham for treating Max like a 13th man. Can’t wait to see the leap he takes this year.
That terrorist Darvin Ham really had Christie glued to the bench for two years.
Knecth looking mighty good. Bronny needs a lot of work.
Knecht looks great
Was at the game tonight! focusing solely on knecht and bronny:
Knect- offense looks good but having him guard 4’s that can post up(NAZ REID) doesn’t look like a good matchup for him. Very excited to see him in a lineup with LeBron and AD, his shot looks nice. Also dudes arms look so long in person lmao
Side note: I did not like the lineup with rui at the 5, but rui also didn’t look good at all tonight.
Bronny- might be cope but if he just focuses only on defense I think he can be a legit NBA player. Seeing it at college level and now preseason level, I can somewhat confidently say it’s actually pretty good? Lol
Felt like as a team we were going under screens and we got punished for it so many times, and it looks like we aren’t that good at finishing at the rim(based on the roster we used tonight)
