Recent Rumblings Are Making it Tough to Move On

The past week since the final game has felt different. I’ve been trying to accept and move forward but keep seeing hints and allusions to this stuff and can’t help but get caught up in hopium

  1. But just today, Sutter Health contacted me to schedule a visit to select a seat for season tickets.

  2. Hopium is a dangerous drug, man. But as I’ve said here before, until shovels are breaking ground on the Vegas stadium, there is better than a 0% chance. May not be high, but not zero.

  3. I would bet that the social media people have been laid off. That’s why they haven’t promoted it.

  4. A part of me thinks MLB will shove this through but the other part of me knows Fisher is an absolute silver spoon idiot who has a track record of fucking things up. The nice thing that works to our advantage is the NBA group who is trying to lure an NBA expansion team is going to privately finance the entire NBA project meaning they can start building asap. The NBA is already popular, it will be a Vegas born team, and they are privately financing it with NO PUBLIC MONEY involved so it’s a win all around for everyone. They also have a plan it seems as well

Compare to that loser and asshole of an owner John Fisher. He is already leaving a very bad sour taste in Vegas locals with public money going to the Stadium rather than the Nevada education system. The Mayor of Las Vegas prefers the A’s stay in Oakland (Yea I know, the Vegas strip isn’t in the actual city of Vegas itself, it’s in Paradise). Still a bad look though. Still no investors despite him looking for investors for the PAST YEAR. No financing plan. I can keep going but the Vegas deal is looking very Fishy and rocky (pun intended).

Get ready for a roller coaster of a ride this offseason . I’m still expecting the worst but I’m hoping for the best

So damn. Not sure what to think. I do know after the World Series, it’s gonna be an emotional roller coaster so buckle up everyone.

  5. Fisher waiting for some Mlb handout to pay for the turf and clubhouse expansion at Sacramento. 2024 barely over and he’s already BEHIND schedule!

  6. feels like clickbait. there’s no reputable reporter commenting on lacob and the a’s. (but correct me if i’m wrong – i didn’t look that hard)

  7. It can all fall apart… that is a high probability. That doesn’t mean we get the team back in Oakland or good ownership or anything good except JF getting even more egg on his egg coated face.

  8. If lacob and group buys the athletics, where will the athletics play? Back to Oakland? Use berkeley stadium perhaps?
