Geez last night sucked, but my god do we punch above our weight class. If Attanasio would treat this team with half the respect they deserve we’d be unstoppable.
White sox hanging out by themselves like the cool kids

The axes should be swapped. What’s interesting is wins as a function of payroll size.
Would love to see the trend line even though it’s pretty clear there’s a correlation
Just need to remove White Sox to see the real trend
was looking for the white sox around colorado and the angels.. took me a solid minute to find them
Love seeing stuff like this ROI graph.
To be fair, most of the Dodger payroll is Ohtani.
White Sox had the highest payroll in the AL Central lmao
What’s the coefficient when you remove CWS as an outlier?
There’s a pretty clear correlation but it’s important to remember most teams shed salary when they’re not competitive and add salary at the deadline when they are. The two or three teams on both ends of the spending spectrum are certainly outliers in that regard.
Feel like this graph would have been way better with the axis swapped.
Now do a line of best fit and see which team is farthest from it in each direction. Well, we all know which team is most to the left… Lol
Willing to bet money that Cleveland or Milwaukee takes the crown for farthest to the right, aka best win to payroll ratio, aka best value.

Them extra two blocks needed on the x axis…
