  14. I’m a die hard Met fan, but I love this manager. Wow, with all his disappointment and sadness he still was able to give the Mets so much credit. What a class act. What a gracious man. This must have been so difficult for him. Phillies manager Rob Thomson should take a page out of this wonderful man’s book. I will always be a Met fan, but I’m also now a big fan of Pat Murphy.

  26. The win is massive obviously after that game 2, so guess what? I DIDN'T WATCH GAME 3, so mets fans YOU HAVE ME TO THANK! I was like KH going into the dugout in game 6 86 WS. Really like this skipper he speaks honest & real, "it's baseball' & man don't we know that as Mets fans.

  28. As a Mets fan been on the heartbreak end many times. Love the magic this past week for us but understand the feelings the brewers fans are going through. Respect to the manager and team for a hard fought series. Nothing to be ashamed of it was a battle till the end

  33. Wow I was not really familiar with Mr. Murphy, but hearing his sportsmanship and clarity and praise for the opponent in the face of a devastating loss, I have high respect for him now! No wonder his team is really good.
