Post-Game Recap: Edmonton Oilers 1, Vancouver Canucks 4 | Pre-Season

The Oilers lose their final pre-season game against the vancouver canucks by a score of 4-1. I thought Stuart Skinner looked a little shaky, but Noah Philp and Ty Emberson were bright spots. The regular season starts October 9th against the Winnipeg Jets. Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers will be on their revenge tour and I cannot wait. Lets Go Oilers! #oilers #edmontonoilers #nhl

  1. Didn’t think stecher looked very good, J. Skinner has some work to do seems very uncomfortable with Drai rn. Arvidson is looking great. They might get off to a slow start but it won’t matter much they will get better as time goes on

  2. Obviously happy to get the win…but Austin I'm curious as a Canucks fan is there any concern in Edmonton over the Oilers? I know it's preseason but from what I've seen they've looked a bit disinterested and/or unfocused. Obviously they have the talent to turn it on but I can't help wondering if it might be an indication of another slow start this year.

  3. Like you said, it’s preseason. In past years, we’ve dominated it before having a bad regular season, and that includes last year before we got off to that terrible start. So for now, I’m not going to worry. I’m fine with losing preseason games if it means avoiding injuries and conserving energy for meaningful games. I’ll start worrying if the poor play continues in the regular season. See you on Wednesday, Austin!! A new season’s upon us, LET’S GO OILERS!!!
