Landry Shamet cementing hold on Knicks’ final roster spot

Seems pretty clear from Thibs that the bench will be Payne, Deuce, Shamet and Precious with one of the starters

Cool! He’s got serious game. I think he’ll do well here.

Also Sims. I would start Precious at the 4 and keep OG at the 3 with Bridges at the 2 and have Hart lead the 2nd unit to start the year. Achiuwa averaged 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.1 steals and shot 52.6%FG in 18 games as a starter last year. He also averaged 3.9 offensive rebounds in that span compared to Harts 2.0 OR. That’s neatly double.
The only thing Hart did better then Precious as a starter is shoot 77% FT to 66% FT and 5.4 AST to 1.4 AST
Precious doesn’t need to shoot as a starter either with 4 starters shooting 40% 3P. He can do the dirty work like iHart did last year.
Impressed in past by him.
Really small bench
I don’t get it. Hopefully there’s something I’m missing but how is he any better than Fournier, who couldn’t sniff the court for the Knicks? They’re both great shooters who are terrible defenders.
man…that bench has been reduced so much :/
Things will be better one Mitchell comes back but still…the bench is so much weaker now.
