I don’t care how “passionate” you are (more than likely just shitfaced drunk) about your team. There’s simply no place or excuse for throwing objects at the players. With all of the cameras throughout a stadium, they should easily be able to identify the person responsible and eject/ban them from returning to the stadium in the future.

That’s status quo for doyer games at Chavez Ravine. They always have a few belligerent fans at every game, like clockwork.
If you ask most baseball fans who are the worst/most vile fans at stadiums, it’s Phillies, Dodgers, Yankees, Red Sox in any order

In football, penalty yardage can be imposed on the home team for crowd problems. Is there anything similar in baseball, if the crowd hits a player with an object?

That is a full on display of bad sportsmanship. MLB should penalize the Dodgers, give the Series to the Padres. That would make a bold ass statement to childish fans. JS.
