  1. Nothing will change because the team has adopted the same position as Cherrington and the manager, winning isn't necessary because the owner is fine with the team status quo, he's still making money with no conflicts.

  2. The fact you're still pumping this content out makes me incredibly happy. You're probably acutely aware of my support of you on multiple platforms, but your steadfast dedication truly makes you uniquely enjoyable.

    Thank you, DK

  3. Morning DK! I will still listen to your daily shot of Pirates every morning but as far as commenting goes, there just isn’t much more that can be said.
I give you SOOOOO, much credit for doing it everyday. It has to be draining and frustrating but we all appreciate your effort!!! Someday we might get to hear you report Cherrington is gone. That will be a great day!!

  4. You mention that Nutting doesn't have a baseball background. I contend that the problem is that he's not a baseball fan. Same with Cherrington. If not employed by or owning the Pirates, you'd never see these guys at a ballgame. That's why they don't care about winning, they are just a couple of executives checking in on the plant. They are only concerned with the business side. I very much doubt that they even like the game of baseball.

  5. Oh yes its the batting order and who is in the lineup.. Good managers realize who are their best players and play them to win. Not this manager.

  6. What I've found particularly mind-boggling since the 2024 season ended is how this team continues to be covered by specific local reporters– and of course I'm excluding you in this, DK. I, like you, believe that Cherington and Shelton not only gaslighted Nutting in order to keep their jobs in 2025, but that they're gaslighting just about everyone else in their paths including local writers whose job it is to report on this team regularly.

Something that really disturbed me recently was a reporter who wrote that it might be best to keep Cherington and Shelton in 2025 for the sake of "continuity." My immediate reaction was: WHAT? A continuity of THIS?!?

There was even the insinuation by the reporter that the players really like Shelton so they'd actually "prefer" the continuity heading into next season. The reporter then offered his own view that it might not be such a bad idea, all things considered. Is this an example of 1) Cherington and Shelton gaslighting the reporter about the need for continuity in order to save their jobs– and using the reporter to convince Pirate fans; or 2) the reporter gaslighting readers/fans in order to convince them that keeping Cherington and Shelton isn't necessarily a bad thing– so the reporter can keep HIS job and continue to write meaningless stories about the "possible" ways the Pirates "COULD be better" in 2025?

I intentionally avoid reading all Pirate-related stories now about "potential" players who can make an impact and improve the team next season, the draft, and how the hitting will be "better" in 2025 without ANY changes in the hitting philosophy. These stories are nothing but a steady stream of blatant and mindless distractions, and I will no longer ride this crazy train. None of this is NORMAL.

This team will not be a WHOLE, healthy, and properly functioning group until Nutting sells the team and the goon squad is finally and permanently removed. THAT'S what needs to be continually reported on now– nothing else.
