Those were two of the worst strike calls I’ve ever seen. Clearly balls – not even close.
Is there a better pitcher than Skubal in the league right now?? Tell me right now.

‘Guards fan but great game by Skubal. He is fun to watch. This one was the one game I figured be tough. I still think we take the series but good win for Detroit. Boyd pitched well but overlooked of course by how good Skubal was.

Please stop deploying closers for multiple innings when they’ve never done that in the regular season. It didn’t work for Diaz, and it didn’t work for Clase. It would also be beneficial to not pitch three straight sliders to the only threatening bat in Detroit’s lineup.
