This loss is overwhelming. They needed this game before going to Detroit. It may be over. I was saying they shouldn't have put Clase in for the 8th inning.

Carpenter had only 18 HR because he missed so many games. He would have been 4th in slugging in the MLB if he had qualified.

Still think the Guardians are in good shape. They are in a two out of three situation.
It is not as though they are down 2-0 having to win three in a row.
Tigers are not going to get crazy with Skubal's usage, he only threw 80 innings last year coming off surgery and he's over 200 now. They've been building in extra rest for him since the AS break.

Why is Gavin Williams not being discussed as an option for Game 3? He has pitched 16.1 innings against DET this year with a 1.65 ERA and OBA of .197. He’s been better on the road this year as well.
