The Talking Point: Atlantic Division predictions for this season

The defending Stanley Cup champion Panthers have won the Atlantic Division in two of the last three years, with the Bruins taking top spot in 2023. How will things play out in the Atlantic this season? TSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado shares his predictions in The Talking Point.

  1. This "Detroit was close to the playoffs," or even "one point away." No, they had all the points. It was a flukey tiebreaker. They were as close as Torts not pulling the goalie in what he thought was an exceptional circumstance and in which he would never have done it normally.

  2. My biases: Sens fan.
    Prediction:: TO, FLA, Bos, TB, Det, Buf, Ott and last is Mtl.
    Concerns for each team that screw up my prediction:
    -Tor => Woll gets injured again and plays under 20 games.
    – FLA => No major concerns
    – Bos => Korpisalo isn't able to backup the team like Ullmark used to
    – Det => Crappy goaltending does them in.
    – Buf => Poor goaltending (as with Detroit).
    – Ott => Norris gets injured again and plays less than 20 games
    while Chabot misses at least 20 games due to injury.
    – Mtl => No major concerns.
