Royals Storm Back | Salvy Flips Script on Yankees in ALDS Game 2

The Royals took the field looking to even the American League Divisional Series vs. the Yankees with Cole Ragans headed to the mound. The Yankees broke through on the scoreboard in the 3rd inning, but the Royals would not stay down for long. Salvador Perez stepped to the plate to lead off the top of the 4th and launched a 402′ blast to even the scoreboard. The Royals would continue to rally in the wake of the Captain’s game-tying home run, as Tommy Pham, Garrett Hampson, and Maikel Garcia would each drive in runs to put the Royals ahead 4-1. The bullpen would take over the game in the 5th inning, surrendering just 1 run the rest of the way to secure the win and even the series to send it back to Kansas City tied 1-1.

  1. Great all around win. Once we get everyones bat going and decrease the chasing, we got a really good shot at the world series. But keep the line moving and bring the momentum home for these next 2 games and we're in the alcs.

  2. I've been a Royals fan for my entire life – and I can't imagine our fans booing Judge just because he's going to win MVP, the way Yankees fans booed Bobby just because he was a contender to win MVP.

  3. I'm sorry, but you can't bat flip a first inning walk and stare down the pitcher, only to go 0/3 the rest of the game. Serves them so fucking right.
