  1. I don’t care if the Royals win, I just need the Yankees to lose. Great job, Kansas City.

  2. IDK about the rest of the Yankees but the Marlins boys showed up to play, Jazz and Berti tried to save ’em

  3. First and foremost, obviously this is a great result for America.
Second, I *truly* have no idea who is going to win the World Series. This is as toss-upy a year as I can remember — 2008?

  4. What’s with the empty seats behind home plate? Like, the tying run was at the plate in the 9th.

  5. Wasn’t gonna be easy. We have been really good on the road this year. Royals have been really good at home. Should be fun…..

  6. Those announcers are absolutely horrendous. It’s game 2 in the ALDS and they’re calling it like it’s a random double A game.

  7. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a set of LDS games as much as I have this season EVER

  8. Too little too late, story of like 30 9th innings this year after being anemic all game.

  9. Much to Bob Costas’ dismay, this series is tied! Kauffman is about to be rocking Wednesday night. Let’s do it

  10. I’m so glad I could put the Chiefs game sound on instead of having to listen to Costas. Crowd at the K is going to be electric

  11. Obviously a lot can happen the next 2-3 games, but one thing’s clear: we can go toe-to-toe with the Yanks.

Bring on a hornet’s nest at The K on Wednesday

  12. I admittedly don’t watch a lot of American League ball. Chatting with my Yankee fan friends tonight, and was shocked to learn the team:

    – Doesn’t have an unofficial mascot/sign of blessing from The Gods
    – Latin pop star who provides an anthem for the season
    – Props in the stands and dugout praising the aforementioned sign from the gods and pop star

AL baseball is just SO weird.

  13. The pregame analysts and Costas perma-jerking the Yankees made this win for the Royals so satisfying. The blatant bias against smaller markets is shameful. Hard to watch these broadcasts as a fan.

  14. Baseball is so much better right now than flag fest football and it’s not even because of the playoffs.

  15. Can KC and NYY agree how terrible the broadcast has been? It’s not only the commentary, but the late cuts to the game, the in game interview during live pitches, the advisement reads as the inning begins, the terrible camera angles, etc. the list goes on man. Just fkn bad all around.
